Cooperation agreement between Ministries of Culture, National Defense signed
ALGIERS- A cooperation agreement was signed, on Sunday in Algiers, between the Ministry of Culture and Arts and that of the National Defense aiming “to promote the distribution of cultural and artistic activity, for the benefit of the national defense”, in addition to “cooperation in film production and distribution “and the participation of the National Defense sector in supporting the endowment of libraries, schools and reading spaces in the gray areas of the various publications Ministry of Culture, a press release from the Ministry of Culture indicated.
“This convention is part of the strategic process of strengthening the awareness of citizens in general and of the elements of the ANP in particular of the importance of Culture and the place of intellectuals and artists in the society and military circles,” the statement noted.
The first approach concerns “the promotion of the distribution of cultural and artistic activity for the benefit of the National Defense sector, by participating, alongside it, in supporting the endowment of libraries, schools and reading spaces in the gray areas of the various publications of the Ministry of Culture and the Arts, in addition to joint cooperation in film production and distribution, in particular with regard to history and national memory “, added the same source.
According to the same press release, the convention “pays particular attention to the cultural program dedicated to cadet schools, in addition to the programming of a periodic calendar of various cultural and artistic caravans”.
This agreement is in line “with the approach of the Ministry of Culture and the Arts aimed at enhancing the links between Culture and its spaces and all actors of society and the State, as well as in response to instructions from the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune and the Prime Minister, Abdelaziz Djerad “.
For the Ministry of Culture and Arts, this convention “constitutes an opportunity for the arts, culture and the Algerian artist to be in tune with the achievements of the National People’s Army (ANP) and celebrate them”, concluded the press release.
