Covid-19: Algeria unveils Anglo-Swedish vaccine’s arrival date
Pr. Ryad Mahyaoui, member of the scientific committee in charge of monitoring the evolution of the Coronavirus pandemic, revealed, today, Wednesday, January 20, 2021, that the first batches of the Anglo-Swedish vaccine, Oxford-Astra zeneca, will arrive in Algeria next february.
Algeria- The member of the scientific committee in charge of monitoring the evolution of the Coronavirus pandemic, Pr. Ryad Mahyaoui, revealed, today, Wednesday, January 20, 2021, that the first batch of the Anglo-Swedish vaccine, Oxford-AstraZeneca, will arrive in Algeria next february.
Speaking to the National Radio, Pr. Mahyaoui revealed that Algeria will receive the first batch of the Anglo-Swedish vaccine next february.
As such, he added that ” “there are three (03) vaccines that have been selected by Algeria so far, namely; the Russian, Chinese and lastly the Anglo-Swedish Oxford-AstraZeneca”, estimating, in this regard, that “no leboratory can alone ensure the vaccination of a whole population.”
The reception of Sputnik V by the end of the current month:
Concerning, the 1st vaccine for which Algeria has opted; the Russian Sputnik V in this case, the host of the National Radio declared “hope for the reception of the first 500,000 doses, ordered by Algeria, by the end of the month in progress” .
In this connection, the member of the scientific committee responsible for monitoring the evolution of the Coronavirus pandemic specified that, “the rest of the doses of this vaccine will arrive gradually”
