Sputnik V production in Algeria: Frater-Razes laboratory fixes date of manufacture
The Secretary General of the Frater-Razes laboratory of pharmaceutical production, responsible for locally producing the anti-Covid-19 Sputnik V vaccine, Abderrahmane Boudiba, revealed that the latter will be ready in two months.

As such , the Secretary General of the Frater-Razes laboratory confirmed to Algerian Radio that “the manufacture of the Sputnik-V vaccine against the Coronavirus will be carried out in the next two months, upon the arrival of the raw material which will be imported from Russia”.
In this vein, the same official explained that the leboratory has the high scientific skills in the field of the manufacture of drugs produced by cells, indicating that the leboratory made the first product through cells, “Varenox”, which is currently administered in the treatment protocol for Covid-19.
The spokesperson added that “Algerian and foreign scientific skills at the laboratory level are responsible for the biotechnological and scientific manufacture of vaccines against the Coronavirus”, and that Algeria has the capacities of vaccine production.
Frater-Razes laboratory in discussion with Russian partner for vaccine production:
It should be noted that the Algerian laboratory of pharmaceutical production “Frater-Razes” is in discussion with a Russian operator for the local production of vaccine “Sputnik V” against the virus Covid-19.
The Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Lotfi Benbahmed said that the technical dossier for the production of the vaccine has been transmitted to the national drug agency a month and a half ago.
“There are four phases for the production of this vaccine, including two carried out by national operators,” he clarified.
According to the same Minister, Algeria plans to cover the national market, and also export in the near future to other countries in the region and coninent.
